In case you’ve missed it, fret not as we have extracted key quotes and highlights for your reading pleasure below:

Key takeaway: Digitalisation and collaborations continues to be the way to go for logistics businesses in such challenging times!

Mr Oh Bee Lock, CEO, Singapore Logistics Association: "Core to a lot of the challenges we are facing today are basic fundamental changes that's been going on. Digitization has been going on for more than a decade. It's picking up pace and gaining traction, particularly also driven by COVID. The consolidation and issues faced in the ports and ships; those have also been going on even before COVID. So those are really fundamental. I would urge all to go back to basics, relook some of the things that are affecting our business today and look at the solutions available out there. Today I think the mindset of many companies and individuals are more open to digitization than before. So go for it."

Mr Eddie Ng, VP Group Cargo Solutions & Platform Development, PSA International Pte Ltd: "One sentence: Technology usually is not the issue. The key thing is the mindset, that's the most important, to adopt digitalisation. That's the real key, the crux. The mindset of sharing, the mindset of going digital."

Mr Alvin Ea, Co-founder & CEO, Haulio: "Any sort of business you do, think about the value creation. For us, we are a digital native company who wants to work with all the hauliers, trucking companies, asset owners, to empower them with technology so that they can do more with less, and most importantly to be able to live in this new future where they can embrace these new challenges and not be afraid of them and deliver better value to their customers."

Ms Parisha Tyagi, Asia Containers Editor, S&P Global Platts Shipping: "With container markets, at least in present scenario, nothing is certain. Expect the unexpected and go with the flow."
